Allan was born and raised in Virginia. He studied finance at Radford University before dropping out to move to New York City where he currently calls home.
Allan has studied acting at The William Esper Studio as well at HB Studio. He regularly takes workshops with industry professionals.
If Allan isn't on stage, he wants to be watching others on stage. Creative collaboration is what drives him every day. He has performed in over a dozen plays and play readings in NYC. And although his passion is theater, he has also performed in many short and student films. Not one to wait around for an opportunity, Allan created his own web series called "Jake's Unemployment Summer" which you can find on YouTube. As a writer, he has written two full length plays, one of which, "Tinderbox", premiered in Melbourne Australia. He has completed one screenplay, "Incapable Able", and is currently writing his second one.
Allan has a keen interest in gardens and has explored many of the gardens in the Tri-State area and beyond. His favorite being Old Westbury Gardens in Long Island. In his spare time, he takes online classes on Landscape Design and draws mock-up gardens for fun. He has a real taste for classical architecture and a real distaste for the new all glass, zero ornamentation, so called "modern" (i.e. soulless) buildings that blight cities. His favorite painter is Amedeo Modigliani and if he could live in another time period it would be among the bohemian creatives of the early 1900's in Paris France.
